Value of Changes of Cerebrospinal Fluid β2-m,LDH,SAA and Ferritin Levels in the Prognosis of Children with Viral Meningitis Infection
Objective To investigate the relationship between the changes of cerebrospinal fluid β2-microglobulin(β2-m),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH),serum amyloid A(SAA)and ferritin levels and the prognosis of viral meningitis infection in children. Methods A total of 100 children with viral meningitis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the prognosis of the disease, they were divided into good prognosis group(52 children)and poor prognosis group(48 children). In addition,50 children with migraine excluding intracranial infection admitted to our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of β2-m,LDH,SAA and ferritin in cerebrospinal fluid of all children were detected. Results The levels of cerebrospinal fluid β2-m,LDH,SAA and ferritin in the good prognosis group and the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the levels of cerebrospinal fluid β2-m,LDH,SAA and ferritin in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the ROC curve of cerebrospinal fluid β2-m,LDH,SAA and ferritin alone in predicting the poor prognosis of children with viral meningitis was lower than that of the combined prediction of the four indicators(P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of β2-m,LDH,SAA and ferritin in cerebrospinal fluid of children with viral meningitis are high, which are related to the severity of infection and prognosis. The combined detection of the four indicators has high application value in predicting the prognosis of children with viral meningitis.
