Value of Ultrasound and Spiral CT Plain Scan in the Diagnosis of Acute Renal Colic Caused by Ureteral Calculi
Objective To compare the diagnostic value of ultrasound and spiral CT plain scan in patients with acute renal colic caused by ureteral calculi. Methods A total of 61 patients with ureteral calculi admitted to Jinggangshan People's Hospital from July 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects. All patients were examined by ultrasound and spiral CT plain scan.Taking the surgical results as the gold standard, the detection rate of ultrasound and spiral CT plain scan in different parts of ureteral calculi, the sensitivity of ultrasound in ureteral calculi were compared. Results Taking the surgical results as the gold standard, the diameter of ureteral calculi was divided into≥6 mm group and<6 mm group, the sensitivity values of ultrasound for the two groups of calculi were 82.05%and 59.09%,respectively;the sensitivity values of spiral CT plain scan for the two groups of calculi were 97.44%and 90.91%,respectively;the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The detection rate of spiral CT plain scan for ureteral calculi was higher than that of ultrasound(P<0.05),while in patients with upper ureteral calculi, there was no significant difference in the detection rate between ultrasound and spiral CT plain scan(P>0.05);in patients with middle and lower ureteral calculi, the detection rate of ultrasound and spiral CT scan was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Spiral CT plain scan is of great value in the diagnosis of acute renal colic caused by ureteral calculi. It is a good diagnostic method and is recommended for clinical application.
