Relationship Between Serum γ-glutamyl Transpeptidase Level and Severity of Coronary Artery Disease
Objective To study the relationship between serum γ-glutamyl transpeptidase level and the severity of coronary artery disease. Methods A total of 63 patients with coronary heart disease diagnosed by coronary angiography in Tianjin Fifth Central Hospital from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 60 healthy people in the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of γ-GGT,Gensini scores andγ-GGT levels in patients with coronary heart disease with different number of diseased vessels (single, double, and more than 3 vessels),γ-GGT levels in patients with coronary artery disease with different Gensini scores (<41 scores,41-80 scores,>80 scores),univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis the risk factors of patients with different Gensini scores, and the correlation between γ-GGT and Gensini score were compared between the two groups. Results The γ-GGT level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). Theγ-GGT level and Gensini score in patients with single, double and more than 3 coronary artery lesions were higher than those in the control group, and those in patients with more than 3 coronary artery lesions were higher than those in patients with single and double coronary artery lesions, and those in patients with double coronary artery lesions were higher than those in patients with single coronary artery lesions (P<0.05). The γ-GGT level in patients with coronary heart disease with Gensini score>80 scores was higher than that in patients with Gensini score<41 scores and 41-80 scores, and that in patients with Gensini score 41-80 scores was higher than that in patients with Gensini score<41 scores (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in gender, complications and course of disease among patients with different Gensini scores (P>0.05). There were statistically significant differences in age and number of diseased vessels (P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that γ-GGT level, age and number of diseased vessels were risk factors for Gensini score. The level of γ-GGT was positively correlated with Gensini score (P<0.05).Conclusionγ-GGT is involved in the occurrence and development of coronary heart disease. The detection of γ-GGT level can evaluate the degree of coronary artery disease to a certain extent, and increases with the increase of the number of diseased vessels. At the same time, the level of γ-GGT was positively correlated with Gensini score, which further provided a reference for clinical judgment of coronary heart disease.
