Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigating and Washing Combined with Joint Adhesion Release Manipulation on Postoperative Rehabilitation of Patients with Lower Limb Fracture
Objective To study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigating and washing combined with joint adhesion release manipulationon postoperative rehabilitation of patients with lower limb fracture. Methods A total of 62 patients with lower limb fractures who underwent surgical treatment in Ganxian District People's Hospital from January 2022 to July 2023 were divided into control group (31 patients) and observation group (31 patients) by random number table method. Both groups were given routine postoperative rehabilitation. On this basis, the control group was given joint adhesion release manipulation, while the observation group was given traditional Chinese medicine fumigating and washing combined with joint adhesion release manipulation. The limb motor function (Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment Scale),postoperative joint function activity pain degree[Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)],postoperative complications and postoperative quality of life[Medical Outcome Survey Short-Form 36 items (SF-36)]were compared between the two groups. Results The Fugl-Meyer scale score of the observation group at 1 week and 1 month after treatment was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The VAS score of the observation group at 1 week and 1 month after treatment was lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group (6.45%) was lower than that in the control group (25.81%) (P<0.05). The SF-36 score of the two groups at 3 months after treatment was higher than that before treatment, and the SF-36 score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine fumigating and washing combined with joint adhesion release manipulation can improve the postoperative limb motor function, relieve joint pain, reduce the risk of postoperative complications and improve the quality of life of patients with lower limb fracture, which is worthy of clinical application.
