Clinical Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Bone-setting Combined with Akupotomye in the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation and its Effect on Lumbar Function
Objective To study the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting combined with akupotomye for lumbar disc herniation(LDH)and its impact on lumbar spine function. Methods During January,2022 and August,2023,66 patients with LDH admitted to the Jingdezhen First People's Hospital were collected, and grouped by random number table method, while 33 patients were enrolled in the control group and 33 patients were enrolled in the observation group. The traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting was used for treatment in the control group, while the observation group was added akupotomye on the basis of the method which was carry out in the control group. The clinical effect, pain degree[Visual Analogue Scale(VAS),Oswestry dysfunction index questionnaire(ODI)],lumbar function[Japanese Orthopaedic Association score(JOA)]and adverse events were compared. Results In comparison with the control group, the observation group was observed to have a higher effective rate(P<0.05).Compared with the patients in the control group after the treatment, the patients'VAS and ODI scores in the observation group were significantly lower, but their JOA scores were significantly higher(P<0.05).For adverse events,no statistical differences were observed between the two groups in the incidences of fracture, luxation, bleeding and increased pain(P>0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine bone-setting combined with akupotomye is effective in the treatment of LDH,which can reduce the pain degree of patients, improve their lumbar function, and has high safety.
