Objective To investigate the level of mental health, social support and coping style of AIDS patients, and to analyze the correlation among them. Methods A total of 82 AIDS patients included in the monitoring of Anyi County Center for Disease Control and Prevention from October 2021 to September 2024 were selected as the research objects. The self-rating depression scale,self-rating anxiety scale, social support rating scale and medical coping questionnaire were used to evaluate the research objects, and the correlation between mental health, social support and coping style of AIDS patients was explored. Results A total of 78 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective recovery rate of 95.12%.Of the 78 AIDS patients,61 patientshad moderate to severe anxiety and 60 patientshad moderate to severe depression.69 patients had low or general social support;the average score of the patient's face dimension was(19.12±3.83)scores,the avoidance dimension was(15.36±3.53)scores,and the yield dimension was(10.36±3.53)scores.Pearson correlation showed that the anxiety status of AIDS patients was negatively correlated with the total score of social support(r=-0.68),and the coping style was negatively correlated with the face(r=-0.45),positively correlated with the yield(r=0.23),and positively correlated with the avoidance(r=0.44).The depression status of AIDS patients was negatively correlated with the total score of social support(r=-0.53).The coping style was negatively correlated with the face(r=-0.41),positively correlated with the yield(r=0.36),and positively correlated with the avoidance(r=0.48).Conclusion The anxiety and depression of AIDS patients are at a medium-high level, which is related to low social support, and the coping style is mainly negative coping. It is suggested to promote the positive response of AIDS patients to the disease by increasing social support and psychological counseling,so as to improve the mental health level of patients.
