Study on the Effect of Mannitol-Dexamethasone Combined with Hot Package on the Improvement of Nerve Root Symptoms of Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To investigate the effect of mannitol-dexamethasone combined with hot package on the improvement of nerve root symptoms of lumbar disc herniation.Methods A total of 52 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to Yifeng Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to July 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and study group,with 26 patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the study group was treated with mannitol-dexamethasone combined with hot package.The effective rate of treatment,lumbar function score(walking distance,extract,standing time,continuous sitting time,self-care ability),nerve root symptom score(lumbar pain,knee and leg weakness,sensory numbness,lower limb radiation pain),hemorheology index[hematocrit(HCT),whole blood high shear viscosity,whole blood low shear viscosity]were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the lumbar function was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of nerve root symptoms and hemorheological indexes in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Mannitol-dexamethasone combined with hot package has a definite clinical effect on patients with lumbar disc herniation,which can improve the lumbar function of patients,improve the symptoms of nerve roots,and reduce the level of hemorheology indexes of patients.It is worthy of clinical application.
