Effect of Somatostatin Combined with Esomeprazole on Coagulation Indexes and Serum Inflammatory Factors in Patients with Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding
Objective To evaluate the effect of somatostatin combined with esomeprazole on coagulation indexes and serum inflammatory factors in patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods A total of 100 patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding who were treated in Wan′an County Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June 2020 to June 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method, they were divided into control group and study group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group was treated with esomeprazole, and the study group was treated with somatostatin for injection on the basis of the control group. The clinical treatment effect, coagulation function indexes(prothrombin time, activated partial thromboplastin time, platelet count),inflammatory factor index levels[C-reactive protein(CRP),white blood cell count(WBC)],and incidence of adverse reactions(chest tightness, abdominal pain, dizziness, gastrointestinal infection, rebleeding)were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group(96.00%)was higher than that in the control group(72.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment, the prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time in the study group were lower than those in the control group, while the platelet count was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of CRP and WBC in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Somatostatin combined with esomeprazole is effective in the treatment of patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, which can improve the coagulation function, reduce the level of serum inflammatory factors, and has high safety.
