Value of Ultrasound BI-RADS Classification in Identifying the Breast Masses
Objective To study the value of breast imaging reporting and data system(BI-RADS)classification in differentiating thebreast masses. Methods From August 2021 to August 2023,60 patients with breast masses admitted to Jingdezhen Leping Dalian Hospital were selected as the research objects, and their imaging information was obtained by ultrasound detection. The classification was carried out according to the fifth edition of BI-RADS standard published by American College of Radiology(ACR)in 2013.The pathological results were used as the gold standard to analyze the differential diagnostic efficacy of ultrasound BI-RADS classification on the breast masses. The distribution of benign and malignant masses with different BI-RADS classifications was counted, and the evaluation value of ultrasound BI-RADS classification on malignant lesions of breast masses was analyzed. Results The accuracy of ultrasound BI-RADS classification in the diagnosis of breast mass was 95.00%,the sensitivity was 85.71%,and the specificity was 96.23%.With pathological results as the gold standard, the misdiagnosis rate of ultrasound BI-RADS classification in the diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses was 5.00%.Among them,2 cases of benign breast masses were misdiagnosed as malignant, and 1 case of malignant breast masses was misdiagnosed as benign. The ROC curve showed that with BI-RADS 4B classification as the cut-off value, ultrasound BI-RADS classification had a definite predictive value for malignant lesions of breast masses(AUC=0.715).Conclusion Ultrasound BI-RADS classification has a high diagnostic efficiency in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast masses, and has a definite predictive effect on the risk of malignant lesions.
