Research on the Impact of Knowledge Spillovers on New Industrialization in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration from a Multidimensional Neighborhood Perspective
Based on the vision that knowledge spillover promotes the high-quality development of new industrialization, the impact of knowledge spillover on the development of new industrialization in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)city cluster is empirically examined by using panel data of 41 cities in the YRD region from 2011-2021,applying the gravity model to measure knowledge spillover, and constructing a spatial econometric model under the perspective of multidi-mensional proximity. The results show that:the knowledge spillover effect is mainly concentrated in the provincial capi-tal cities, and the total amount of knowledge spillover in Shanghai and some cities in Jiangsu and Zhejiang is higher, while the total amount of knowledge spillover in all cities in Anhui is lower;there is a phenomenon of spatial differenti-ation in the level of development of new industrialization in the Yangtze River Delta city cluster, and the cities with high levels of sophistication, such as Shanghai and Hangzhou, have a diffusion effect, but this effect is gradually decreasing while the siphoning effect is increasing;the development level of new industrialization in the Yangtze River Delta city cluster is increasing in 2011-2016,and gradually decreasing in 2016-2021,and the difference of new in-dustrialization in each region of the Yangtze River Delta is expanding, and there is a polarization phenomenon;knowledge spillovers under geographic proximity, economic proximity, and economic geographic proximity have a significant positive effect on the development of new industrialization, and knowledge spillover has a significant positive impact on the development of new industrialization under geographic proximity, economic proximity, and economic geographic proximity, and there is an obvious exchange effect;knowledge spillover chain effect is obvious, and knowledge spillover promotes the advanced industrial structure and combines with the digital economy to promote the advanced new industry.
