The Dilemma and Strategies of High-Quality Development for Undergraduate Ideological and Political Education in the New Era:Based on a Survey of Universities in Chongqing
The high-quality development of undergraduate ideological and political education is not only a major epochal issue for the innovation and development of the Party's ideological and political educa-tion theory in the new epoch and new journey,but also a due meaning to serve the current development of the Party and the national cause,which is the key to cultivate innovative talents to lead and support the development of Chinese path to modernization.By taking self-made questionnaires,the method of combi-ning non-probability random sampling and typical representative selection was adopted to conduct a survey on teachers and students,and the survey mainly includes the curriculum design,textbook construction,and talent cultivation of undergraduate ideological and political education majors.The survey results show that teachers and students generally hold a positive attitude towards the quality of the ideological and political education undergraduate program,but also generally believe that there are still some problems in the ideo-logical and political education undergraduate program of Chongqing in the process of Chinese path to modernization in the new epoch.The problems of undergraduate major of ideological and political educa-tion are as follows:imbalanced professional development,uneven curriculum design,inadequate use of text-books,and low quality of talent cultivation,which cannot meet the current major strategic needs of the country.In view of the problems found in the research,the following suggestions were proposed:develo-ping a"high-quality development implementation plan for undergraduate majors in ideological and political education in the universities in Chongqing"to enhance the overall professional ability,organizing the com-pilation of basic textbooks for undergraduate ideological and political education majors in the universities in Chongqing,and strengthening the standardization of professional foundations,optimizing the undergraduate curriculum of ideological and political education in universities in Chongqing and enhancing the quality of talent cultivation,putting efforts to normalize the study and discussion of high-quality development of un-dergraduate majors in ideological and political education in universities in Chongqing,and optimizing the development pattern of undergraduate majors in ideological and political education,ultimately to achieve high-quality development of undergraduate majors in ideological and political education.
