Metastatic collecting duct carcinoma of the kidney:current progress and future prospects
Collecting duct carcinoma(CDC)of the kidney is a relatively uncommon and highly aggressive subtype of renal cell carcinoma.Most patients are at an advanced stage when first diagnosed.Although case reports or small case series have provided preliminary insights,current treatment results are unsatisfactory.Due to the low incidence,it is difficult to conduct clinical trials,and current guidelines lack unified treatment specifications.This article mainly reviews the surgical treatment,radiotherapy and chemothera-py,targeted and immunotherapy of renal collecting duct carcinoma.
