Research advances on the effects of anesthetic drugs on postoperative sleep disorders
Normal sleep patterns and sleep cycles are crucial for maintaining the proper functioning of physiological and psy-chological processes in the human body.In recent years, there has been a growing focus on sleep disorders that arise during the periop-erative period.General anesthesia can alter sleep structure, leading to sleep disorders, which may result in patient hyperalgesia and poor postoperative recovery.Increasing evidence suggests that various factors during the perioperative period are associated with post-operative sleep disorders, and general anesthetic drugs,as an independent risk factor, may contribute to sleep disorders following gener-al anesthesia. This article primarily reviews the effects of different anesthetic drugs on patients'postoperative sleep stages and sleep quality based on clinical experiments and laboratory experiments.
