Research processes on the establishment and evaluation of rodent models of conditioned fear
Fear conditioning is a behavioral paradigm of fear learning and memory based on neutral conditioned stimuli(CS)paired with aversive unconditioned stimuli(US)and reflexively activating the unconditioned fear response(UR).In the modeling pro-cess,the selection of animal strains and sex,the type and number of pairings,the CS and US parameters,and the evaluation methods.all affect the model.Therefore,this article reviews the construction methods and evaluation indexes of the conditioned fear model,as well as the brain regions and neural circuits involved.
