Exploring the application of Boston Matrix in evaluating injury classification ability
Objective To evaluate the injury classification ability of a certain team hospital as an example,we explore the the construction of a scientific and reasonable injury classification evaluation model by using management tools such as the Boston Ma-trix.Methods The ability of the injury classification was summarized as accuracy and time-consuming of classification injuries from two dimensions:the quality and efficiency of injury classification. The members of the field medical team were selected to form twelve teams for examination and classification of injuries under the cooperation model of one doctor and one nurse, group from A to L.To detect the ability of the injury classification in actual combat conditions, fifteen injuries were randomly selected, examined and clas-sified.Results The mean value of the 12 teams scores was used as the cut-off value to construct the Boston matrix for evaluation. The D,E and I teams had strong professional ability and were well done the work of injury detection and classification. The B,F,and H teams had strong expertise, but were less efficient. The C and K teams had high efficiency in detecting and classifying injuries and had potential for development. The quality and efficiency of the other teams were not good. Conclusion The authors innovatively pro-pose management tools to scientifically evaluate the ability of injury detection and classification. The constructed Boston matrix evalua-tion model can further expand its applicability by changing the cut-off value and evaluation index, and provides reference for the gener-ation of the integrated training mode of"training, performance, examination and evaluation".
