GPNMB:New opportunities in the diagnosis and treatment of triple-negative breast cancer
Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is a molecular subtype of breast cancer with poor prognosis and limited treat-ment options. However, its high expression of glycoprotein non metastatic melanoma protein B(GPNMB)provides a biological basis for molecular diagnosis and antibody-drug conjugate therapy targeting this protein. This article reviews the biological characteristics of GPNMB and the related studies on diagnosis and treatment targeting this protein.
