Feasibility study on the assessment of myocardial bridges using turbo field echo-echo planar imaging tech-nology
Objective To explore the value of TFE-EPI (turbo field echo-echo planar imaging) sequence in myocardial bridge imaging. Methods A retrospective collection was performed for 25 patients who underwent coronary non-enhanced MRA (non-contrast enhanced magnetic resonance angiography)and CTA(coronary CT angiography)examinations in our hospital from June 2023 to January 2024,and the ability of the two methods in myocardial bridge display was compared with BTFE(balanced turbo field echo)and TFE-EPI,respectively.Results There were significant differences in the length of RCA and LAD in CCTA and TFE-EPI sequences(P<0.001),and there were significant differences in the length of right coronary artery and left anterior descending branch in BTFE and TFE-EPI sequences(P=0.006,P<0.001).The scanning time of TFE-EPI sequence(17.63±0.83)s was significantly short-er than that of BTFE sequence(595.00±85.76)s(P<0.001).The Kappa values of the two scan sequences for visual evaluation of myo-cardial bridge inlet, bridge vessel and outlet were 1.00,1.00 and 0.896,respectively,with P<0.01.Conclusion TFE-EPI sequence can greatly reduce the scanning time while ensuring the display of myocardial bridge, and has an important application prospect in car-diovascular imaging diagnosis and clinical application.
