Objective:This study aims to analyze the coupling relationship between the construction of a healthy China and high-quality economic development at the provincial level, providing insights for the coordinated advancement of both initiatives. Methods:A coupling coordination degree model was employed to evaluate the coupling coordination between healthy China con-struction and high-quality economic development across 30 provinces from 2014 to 2021.The obstacle degree model and spatial au-tocorrelation model were used to examine the influencing factors and spatial correlation characteristics. Results:The coupling coor-dination degree between healthy China construction and high-quality economic development increased from 0.410 in 2014 to 0.482 in 2021,with an average annual growth rate of 2.34%.The mean coupling coordination degrees in the eastern, central, and western regions were 0.558,0.408,and 0.359,respectively.The primary obstacles impeding the progress of healthy China construction and high-quality economic development varied over time and across regions. Conclusion:The study reveals regional disparities in the coupling coordination degree between healthy China construction and high-quality economic development, indicating a need for im-proved coordination.Further efforts are needed to promote coordinated regional development.
