Objective:To investigate the relationship between nurses'professional identity and willingness to leave in public hospitals in Jilin province,and to provide a basis for reducing nurses'willingness to leave their jobs and ensuring the quality of nursing services.Methods:A stratified random sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 2480 nurses from 124 hospitals in Jilin Province using the Nurses'Job Satisfaction Scale,the Professional Identity Scale,the Willingness to Leave Scale,and the Burnout Scale.Results:The total score of nurses'burnout was(31.58±25.45),the total score of job satisfaction was(33.11±7.92),the total score of professional identity was(115.97±18.21),and the total score of willingness to leave the job was(10.18±4.37),univariate analysis showed that age,years of working experience,form of employment,and level of income af-fected the willingness of nurses to leave the job(P<0.05),correlation analysis showed that professional identity was positively cor-related with job satisfaction(r=0.585,P<0.01)and negatively correlated with burnout(r=-0.547,P<0.01)and willingness to leave(r=-0.425,P<0.01).The results of mediation effect analysis showed that burnout and job satisfaction acted as chain media-tors in nurses'professional identity and willingness to leave,and the value of the chain mediation effect was-0.049.Conclusion:Nurses'willingness to leave scores in public hospitals in Jilin province are at a low level,and the chain mediation is established,and nurses'professional identity indirectly predict their willingness to leave through burnout and job satisfaction.
