Objective:To analyze job satisfaction and its influencing factors for medical staff in tertiary cancer hospitals in China,so as to provide references for promoting the stabilization of the team of medical staff of high-level cancer hospitals in China.Methods:A total of 11250 medical staff in 33 tertiary cancer hospitals in 30 provinces in China were selected using stratified isometric sampling method.Characteristics of hospitals and departments,sociodemographic characteristics,occupational character-istics and workload were collected.Job satisfaction was measured by using Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire,and logistic regres-sion analysis was performed for exploring influencing factors of job satisfaction of medical staff.Results:The job satisfaction score of medical staff in tertiary cancer hospitals in China was 80.73,of which doctors scored 76.37 and nurses scored 84.89.The job sat-isfaction rate of medical staff was 53.07%,that of doctors was 38.62%,and that of nurses was 66.86%.For doctors,working in central region,anesthesia department,intermediate title,elder age,contract employment,lower annual income,worse self-repor-ted health status,and longer working hours per week were risk factors of job satisfaction(P<0.05).For nurses,working in non-teaching hospital,radiotherapy department,junior title,elder age,contract employment,lower annual income,worse self-reported health status,and longer working hours per week were risk factors of job satisfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion:In China,the job sat-isfaction of nurses in tertiary cancer hospitals is relatively high,and that of doctors remains to be improved.In order to improve the overall job satisfaction of medical staff in cancer hospitals in China,it is recommended to pay more attention to at-risk regions and departments,improve salary level of medical staff and reduce their workload.
