Objective; To explore the trend of structural changes in the allocation of health human resources and the disparities across provinces in China, providing references for optimizing resource allocation. Methods:Using health professionals such as practicing(assistant)physicians, registered nurses, pharmacists, and technicians as evaluation indicators, this study comprehen-sively analyzes the allocation of health human resources in China from 2017 to 2021 using the structural change degree method and rank sum ratio(RSR)method. Results:The number of registered nurses in China has been continuously increasing, showing a positive trend. The growth rate of practicing(assistant)physicians has slowed down. The structure of pharmacists and technicians o-verall shows a negative change.According to the RSR method's best classification principle, the health human resources allocation in China's 31 provinces can be divided into five categories:least, relatively less, medium, relatively more, and most. Conclusion:There are structural imbalances and significant regional disparities in the allocation of health human resources in China. It is recom-mended to further expand the scale of physicians, increase the supply of nursing services, strengthen the training of pharmacists and technicians, and coordinate regional development.
