Objective:To understand the current situation of medical postgraduates(including master and doctoral students)mental health in Shanghai,and to explore the influence of student-supervisor relationship,so as to provide references for the allevi-ation of mental health problems among medical postgraduates in China.Methods:A survey was conducted using a cross-sectional study through a self-administered demographic characteristics questionnaire,generalized anxiety disorder(GAD-7),patient health questionnaire-9(PHQ-9),and a self-administered student-supervisor relationship and supervisor support questionnaire.Results:A total of 1006 samples were included,and the prevalence of depression and anxiety among medical postgraduates were respectively 52.50%and 46.90%.Student-supervisor relationship and supervisor support were significantly negatively correlated with anxiety and depression(P<0.001).Regression analysis showed that student-supervisor relationship and supervisor support could significantly predict the anxiety and depression of medical postgraduates(P<0.001).Conclusion:The level of anxiety and depression of medical postgraduates is high,which should be a cause for social concern.The student-supervisor relationship and su-pervisor support have a significant impact on students'anxiety and depression,so it is recommended to reduce anxiety and depres-sion of medical postgraduates and improve their mental health by improving the relationship of student-supervisor relationship and enhancing the supervisor support.
