Objective:To explore the influencing factors of the healthcare demands of older adults in Ningxia,and to provide a reference basis for the formulation of healthcare interventions for older adults.Methods:A questionnaire survey was conducted a-mong the elderly aged 60 years and above in Ningxia using multi-stage stratified sampling.Descriptive analysis and chi-square test were used to analyze the data,and the factors influencing healthcare demand were analyzed by binary logistic regression model and BP neural network model.Results:The self-rated health,chronic diseases,establishment of health records,physical examination,contracted family physician service and permanent residence were factors influencing the healthcare demands of older adults in Ningxia.The results of the BP neural network model showed that the top three influencing factors of importance were self-rated health,chronic diseases and the establishment of health records,with standardization importance of 100.00%,65.20%and 36.20%respectively.The influence of permanent residence on healthcare demands was less important,with the standardization importance of 8.00%.Conclusion:Self-rated health,chronic disease and the establishment of health records have important implications for the healthcare demands of the elderly in Ningxia.Health screening and health education for the elderly should be further strengthened to effectively meet their healthcare demands.
