Objective:To study the relationship between subjective well-being,social class identity and health status among older adults,and the role of health status in both subjective well-being and social class identity among old adults,so as to provide a reference basis for enhancing the subjective well-being of old adults and achieving healthy aging.Methods:Based on the 2018 and 2021 Chinese General Social Survey Database(CGSS),the data screened according to the qualifications were processed using Stata 17.0,and the ordered probit model and Bootstrap mediated effects test were used to test the effect relationship between the variables.Results:Social class identity,health status,age,household registration,education,social trust and social equity had a significant positive effect on the subjective well-being of old adults(P<0.01),social class identity,self-rated health,age,house-hold registration,education,social trust,and social equity had a significant positive effect on the health status of old adults(P<0.01).When self-rated health was added to the model,the correlation between subjective well-being and social class identity of old adults remained statistically significant(β=0.140,P<0.001).Social class identity could indirectly affect old adults'subjective well-being through self-rated health(95%CI=0.008-0.014),with a mediation effect value of 0.117.Conclusion:The subjective well-being of older persons in China is generally high,which is closely and positively related to social class identity and self-rated health,and self-rated health plays a partially mediating role in the relationship between subjective well-being and social class i-dentity among old adults.
