Objective:To analyze the status and characteristics of medical equipment performance evaluation in China,so as to provide reference for subsequent research of related topic.Methods:The data was collected from CNKI database from 1984 to 2022,and the CiteSpace 5.7R5 and VOSviewer 1.6.19 were used for visual analysis of the number of publications,authors,institu-tions and keywords.Results:A total of 1359 articles were included,and the number of publications could be divided into four sta-ges:embryonic stage,initial stage,explosive stage,and improvement stage,showing a synergistic relationship with the evolution of national policies.The research force exhibits the characteristics of overall dispersion and local concentration,without forming a sig-nificant cooperative network.Through co-occurrence,clustering,and emergent analysis of keywords,it was found that research hotspots focus on large-scale medical device,economic benefits,public hospitals,risk assessment,and other aspects.The focus of research varies at different stages,gradually extending from macro level medical equipment management and configuration evalua-tion to micro level economic benefits,medical equipment management,and then mathematical model evaluation methods or specific dimensions,like efficiency evaluation or health technology evaluation.Conclusion:The research cooperation network in the field of medical equipment performance evaluation in China needs to be strengthened.Further expansion of research is needed,and multi-stage management of medical device is a new direction for future evaluation research.
