Objective:To investigate the spatial and temporal vulnerabilities of China's rural healthcare system, and analyze the factors that drive these vulnerabilities,so as to provide a basis for improving the risk response capacity of the rural healthcare system. Methods:Based on the VSD(vulnerability scope diagram)evaluation integration model,we constructed a rural healthcare system vulnerability evaluation index system, used the entropy value method to determine the weights of the indexes, and used geo-graphic detectors to analyse the spatial and temporal characteristics of the vulnerability of China's interprovincial rural healthcare system and the driving factors. Results:The vulnerability of China's rural healthcare system had increased, with an average annual growth rate of 1.53%.Among its components, exposure had shown an increasing trend with an average annual growth rate of 1.25%,while sensitivity and adaptive capacity had both demonstrated a declining trend, with average annual decrease rates of 4.16%and 2.36%respectively.Provinces with high vulnerability exhibited relative stability, mainly concentrated in the western re-gion,while provinces with low vulnerability were primarily concentrated in the northeastern and some eastern areas. The proportion of the rural population aged 0-14,the annual hospitalization rate of residents, and the dependency ratio of the rural population were the main driving factors of the vulnerability of the rural healthcare system. Conclusion:The vulnerability of China's rural healthcare system has obvious characteristics of spatial and temporal differentiation, increasing financial transfers to remote rural areas, strengthening the capacity building of the rural healthcare system, and improving the resilience of the rural healthcare system.
