Application of Scenario-based Simulation Combined with Micro-class Teaching in Endoscopy Training for Gynecological Residents during Standardized Training at a Hospital in Wuhan
Objective:To explore the application effect of scenario-based simulation combined with micro-class teaching methods in the standardized training of gynecological residents in endoscopy at a tertiary hospital in Wuhan.This study aims to pro-vide a reference for promoting teaching reform in the standardized training of gynecological residents.Methods:A total of 108 clini-cal master's students who underwent the second stage of standardized clinical training in the gynecology department from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected as research subjects.Among them,58 residents from the 2019 cohort were taught using tradi-tional teaching methods(control group),while 50 residents from the 2020 cohort were taught using scenario-based simulation com-bined with micro-class teaching methods(experimental group).Comprehensive theoretical and practical training scores,critical thinking disposition,learning initiative,and satisfaction with the new teaching methods were statistically analyzed for both groups.Results:After training with scenario-based simulation combined with micro-class teaching methods,the experimental group showed higher comprehensive theoretical and practical training scores,as well as overall training scores,compared to the control group(P<0.05).The critical thinking disposition scores and learning initiative scores of the experimental group were also higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the satisfaction level of the residents in the experimental group was signifi-cantly higher.Conclusion:The combination of scenario-based simulation and micro-class teaching methods in the standardized training of gynecological residents in endoscopy effectively improves both theoretical and practical performance.It also enhances res-idents'critical thinking abilities and learning initiative,significantly increasing their satisfaction with the training.
