Objective:To explore the relationship between subthreshold depression(SD)and adverse childhood experiences(ACEs)among nursing undergraduates in Beijing, providing a reference for early intervention of SD in clinical practice. Methods:From March to May 2022,SD and ACEs were investigated among full-time nursing undergraduates in medical colleges in Beijing through a questionnaire survey. To analyze the relationship between subthreshold depression and adverse childhood experiences,Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression models were employed. Results:A total of 618 nursing undergraduates were investigated in this study, and 161 undergraduates were detected with SD,resulting in a detection rate of 26.1%.ACEs were reported by 94%of the subjects. There was a significant positive correlation between SD and ACEs(r=0.427,P<0.01).Family type and ACEs significantly influenced the incidence of SD.Conclusion:The incidence of SD and ACEs among nursing undergrad-uates in medical colleges in Beijing is relatively high, and there is a significant correlation between the two.Family type and ACEs are the main influencing factors for the occurrence of SD.It is recommended that parents improve the quality of emotional nurturing to enhance the psychological resilience of their children.Medical institutions should develop targeted intervention measures for indi-viduals with ACEs and SD to prevent further development into major depression.
