Objective:To evaluate the service readiness of health facilities for febrile children in Senegal and analyze the in-fluence of facility readiness on health service quality,so as to provide reference for optimizing the allocation of health resources and improving the quality of health services in Senegal and other similar areas with limited medical resources. Methods:Data used in this study came from the Senegal Service Provision Assessment(SPA)surveys conducted from 2013 to 2019.According to the Serv-ice Availability and Readiness Assessment(SARA)manual, indicators were extracted from the database to construct the facility readiness score. The quality score was based on the Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses(IMCI).Multivariate linear re-gression model was used to analyze the influence of facility readiness on service quality. Results:A total of 1919 health facilities were included with an average service readiness score of 0.67(out of 1).2013 health providers from these facilities provided service for febrile children with an average quality score of 0.36(out of 1).It was found that health facility readiness have a positive impact on service quality(β=0.071,P=0.026).Conclusion:Health facilities in Senegal are not fully ready to provide health service for febrile children, which affect the quality of service provided by health providers. Therefore, the government should focus on im-proving the service readiness of health facilities in order to promote the quality of health services.
