Abstract
Objective:To explore the research hotspots and development trends in standardized training of resident physicians in China through bibliometric analysis,so as to provide references for further improvement of the standardized training system for resident physicians. Methods:Literature related to standardized residency training research in China from January 1,2003,to De-cember 31,2023,was retrieved from CNKI and CMJN databases.CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software was used for bibliometric analysis of authors, research institutions, and keywords. Results:A total of 3,988 papers were included. From 2013 to 2023,there was a sig-nificant increase in publications related to standardized residency training in China. While there are numerous authors and research institutions, collaboration is lacking. The most frequent keywords include"teaching mode"(851 occurrences),"teaching effect"(339 occurrences),"concurrent training"(116 occurrences),and"general practice"(100 occurrences).Clustering analysis of the keywords identified 10 clusters, mainly covering teaching modes,doctor-patient communication, job competence, and training quality. Conclusion:Standardized residency training research in China is in a developmental phase, and further cross-regional col-laboration is necessary.Research hotspots include innovations in teaching modes for residency education, research on clinical medi-cine master's degree and general practice, and Chinese medicine residency training.Future research may focus on evaluating teach-ing effects, developing residents'job competence, six core competencies, and standardized general practice residency training.
