Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of fiberoptic ductoscopy(FDS)combined with ultrasound galactogra-phy in pathological nipple discharge(PND).Methods A total of 40 patients with PND who underwent surgical treatment in the Shandong Provincial Third Hospital were collected.Combined with pathological results,the accuracy,sensitivity,specific-ity,positive and negative predictive values of X-ray galactography,FDS and FDS combined with ultrasound galactography in the diagnosis of PND were analyzed.Results The postoperative pathology results of 40 patients confirmed malignancy in 9 cases and benignity in 31 cases.The consistency between the diagnostic results of FDS combined with ultrasound galactography and the pathologic diagnostic results was strong.The accuracy,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value and negative predictive value of PND diagnosed by FDS combined with ultrasound galactography were higher than that of X-ray galactography or FDS alone.Conclusion FDS combined with ultrasound galactography has a high diagnostic value for PND,which improves the early diagnostic rate and avoids the missed diagnosis or blind surgical intervention.
