Objective To investigate the changes of lumbosacral curvature of intrauterine fetus with gestational age.Meth-ods Sixty-three fetuses with no abnormal lumbosacral vertebra confirmed by MRI were divided into four groups:24~27W,28~30W,31~34W,and 35~37W.Measurement parameters were as follows:Lumbar lordosis angle(LLA),Lumbosacral lordo-sis angle(LSLA),Sacral tilt(ST),and lumbar Lordosis Angle(LSLA),and Sacral inclination angle(SIA).The difference and correlation of parameters were compared and the growth trend chart was plotted. The linear regression equation was established. Results The LLA value,LSLA value,ST value and SIA value were(-20.5±9.1)°,(174.0±2.3)°,(-12.5±19.4)° and(-19.5±17.8)° respectively. There was no gender difference in parameters.LLA was positively correlated with ST and SIA.ST was positively correlated with SIA.LSLA was positively correlated with ST.Gestational age was not correlated with the param-eters.The linear regression equation was LLA=0.219×ST-19.205(R2=0.251,P<0.001).Conclusions In the present work,we clarify the existence mode of fetal lumbosacral segment curvature, establish the parameters for evaluating lumbosacral curva-ture,and infer the mode of fetal sacral evolution, which can be used as a reference for evaluating the development of fetal lumbo-sacral vertebrae and a better quantitative assessment of spinal development status.
