Objective To analyze the relationship between bone density of the lumbar spine and proximal femur in the analysis of hip fracture populations with quantitative CT.Methods 100 cases of hip brittle fractures admitted to our hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were selected as case group research subjects, and 50 healthy individuals who under-went health examinations during the same period were selected as control group research subjects; All patients included in the study received quantitative CT measurements of bone density in the lumbar spine and proximal femur, and statistical analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation analysis, analyzed the relationship between bone density in the lumbar spine and proxi-mal femur. Results The quantitative CT bone density detection values of lumbar spine L1,L2,L3,and L4 in the case group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05);The CT bone density of the proximal femur in the case group was higher than that in the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05);The quantitative CT bone density of the proximal femur in patients with hip fracture was positively correlated with the bone density detection values of lumbar spine L1,L2,L3,and L4(P<0.05).Conclusion Quantitative CT can provide a more accurate bone density examination for people with hip brittle fractures, with a positive correlation between the bone density of the lumbar spine and the proximal fe-mur.That is,if the bone density of the lumbar spine is low,the bone density of the proximal femur is lower, and the risk of hip brittle fractures is higher.
