The fundamental question in medical ethics education is what"knowledge"it imparts, what"skills"it teaches, and what"dilemmas"it resolves.According to its disciplinary nature, there are mainly four different teaching models, namely knowledge-based,skill-based,concept-based,and virtue-based.These four models have their own merits, drawbacks, and limitations. They all reflect the attributes and characteristics of a certain aspect of medical ethics from a certain perspective, but they struggle to encompass the entirety of the subject. In practical teaching, relying on a singular teaching model while neglecting other dimensions is not effective. The most effective strategy is to adopt a comprehensive teaching method, help doctors build a complete ethical knowledge system, and effectively solve moral challenges in clinical practice.
