This paper elaborates comprehensive geriatric assessment from five aspects,including the concept,application scope,clinical significance,role in clinical decision-making,and specific applications,demonstrating the multidimensional characteristics of clinical decision-making.Combined with the clinical cases,it shows the important role of comprehensive geriatric assessment technology in helping elderly patients with multimorbidity to optimize the treatment plan,improving the quality of life of elderly patients in the terminal stage,and providing references for individualized clinical decision-making for elderly perioperative patients.The aim is to discuss the application value of comprehensive geriatric assessment techniques in developing patient-centered individualized medical decisions,guiding clinicians to make scientifically reasonable clinical decisions for elderly patients based on comprehensive geriatric assessment results.
