Ethical Research on Experimental Treatment of Xenotransplantation
Based on the ethical evaluation of experimental treatment of gene-edited pig organ transplantation, this paper proposes that the construction of ethical norms for experimental treatment can protect the interests of patients, avoid doctor-patient conflicts, reduce the ethical issues of organ donation, and is conducive to the advancement of medical scientific knowledge. However, the distinction between clinical research and clinical treatment has led to the lack of ethical norms for experimental treatment.Simple conditional norms of"compassionate use"cannot guide experimental treatment for xenotransplantation. Therefore, this paper proposes an ethical framework for experimental treatment of xenotransplantation based on the integration of clinical research and clinical treatment, hoping to provide a basis for the improvement of ethical norms for experimental treatment of xenotransplantation in the future.
