Based on the review of historical materials and interpretation of clinical data,the shaping of the concept of end-of-life care in the United States has been deeply influenced by individualism,entrepreneurial spirit,excessive societal expectations,and the medical interest structure.The phenomenon of excessive medical treatment at the end of life in the United States has gradually emerged.The excessive end-of-life care measures have triggered many social debates such as technology monopoly,moral ethics,and patient autonomy,providing profound practical inspiration for the construction and improvement of the end-of-life care service system in China.In order to implement scientific elderly care and rational treatment throughout the life cycle,it is necessary to further strengthen institutional promotion of hospice care model,cultivate consciousness of life and death education,and promote a cultural shift towards progressive medical thinking.
