Reflection on Clinician's Practice of Shared Decision-Making
Shared decision-making model has gradually been recognized as a clinical decision-making model following the paternalistic and informed consent models. After more than 20 years of development in China,it is gradually accepted by clinicians and constantly introduced into clinical practice. But its development is not as optimistic as expected.Although it can improve doctor-patient relationships and reduce decision-making errors, there are still many practical problems in actual work, such as the lack of policy guidance, mutual distrust between doctors and patients, and doctors'failure to achieve empathy, which lead to the unsmooth promotion of shared decision-making between doctors and patients. Therefore,as an ideal decision-making model, the shared decision-making model of doctors and patients still needs continuous exploration and improvement in clinical practice in China.
