Through the analysis of the changes and impacts of modern medical technology on end-of-life issues,it is pointed out that the need for decision-making in end-of-life situations and the inability of the dying to depart peacefully fundamentally stem from the nature of technology, where the body becomes an object manipulated by technology, leading modern medicine deviated from its original intention.Ethical considerations should take precedence, and based on ethical concerns for life, proactive reflection on possible ways of ending life in the technological age should be undertaken to enhance both the quality of life and death.Exploring the inherent compatibility between the idea of hospice care and filial piety culture can help avoid the modern deviations of both, facilitating a constructive interaction between traditional filial piety and technology, ensuring that dying individuals bid farewell to the world with dignity.
