The Clinical Application and Significance Analysis of Narrative Oncology
This paper explores the concept and practical application of narrative oncology, using nine real medical cases for analysis and discussion. It suggests that narrative approaches can help better understand the psychological and physical characteristics of patients, revealing some easily overlooked clinical truths;assisting in solving some clinical difficulties;promoting the integration of mind-body treatments;and encouraging patients to develop a better lifestyle. Therefore,it is believed that narrative methods are worthy of attention and are a good and actionable means to address some clinical challenges and operational tools.Subsequently, the paper discusses some"pain points"in clinical oncology, including the lack of clarity between doctors and patients regarding the disease, failure to dispel patient doubts, neglect in addressing patient-related risk factors, inadequate management of patient anxiety, lack of effective psychological support, and failure to help patients overcome fear.It suggests that narrative techniques can help alleviate these"pain points".
