Based on the conditions of modern China,social needs,and his background and experience in public health,Hu Ding'an developed relatively systematic public health thoughts in practice.Hu Ding'an's public health thoughts mainly include four aspects:first,the development of public health requires strengthening the construction of health administration;second,the central task of public health is to vigorously fight infectious diseases;third,the construction of public health should pay attention to special groups such as infants and children and laborers;fourth,public health should fundamentally start with health education.Hu Ding'an's public health thoughts are strongly problem-oriented,showcasing his sense of responsibility as a public health expert,his compassion for the suffering of the people,and his noble aspiration to achieve national rejuvenation through health improvement.
