Applicability and Conceptual Analysis of Narrative Therapy for Non-suicidal Self-injury
This article explores the application of narrative therapy to the psychotherapy of non-suicidal self-injury,and seeks to establish an empowerment-based psychotherapy concept for the treatment of non-suicidal self-injury.The applicability of narrative therapy to the treatment of non-suicidal self-injury is explored in terms of the characteristics of non-suicidal self-injury itself and the fundamental principles of narrative therapy.It also analyzes the concepts underpinning narrative therapy in the context of non-suicidal self-injury treatment,drawing on specific therapeutic processes.Finally,the study highlights recent pilot research conducted domestically and internationally on the use of narrative therapy in non-suicidal self-injury treatment,offering insights for other researchers.Therefore,narrative therapy for the treatment of non-suicidal self-injury shows a promising application.
