End-of-life dreams and visions are experiences commonly encountered by terminally ill patients,providing them with a sense of meaning and comfort,facilitating the transition from life to death.These experiences also help healthcare professionals console the bereaved families,holding significant clinical value in offering positive guidance.This study begins by defining the relevant terms and concepts associated with end-of-life dreams and visions,exploring their connotations,and analyzing the similarities and differences between these experiences and delirium or other near-death experiences.The study also focuses on the significance and challenges of end-of-life dreams and visions in palliative care,examines the factors that may hinder their occurrence,and offers suggestions and reflections for their application and development in clinical practice.
