This study aims to describe the experience of uncertainty in patients with malignant glaucoma.Purposive sampling and interpretive phenomenological methods were used to conduct interviews with 14 patients.The theory of disease uncertainty was used as the theoretical framework,and Grbich's critical discourse analysis(CDA)method was employed for analysis.Patients with malignant glaucoma have varying degrees of psychological problems.In addition,lack of information,emotional changes,alterations in daily life and social functioning,uncertainty and reduced quality of life are major problems.Glaucoma patients are greatly affected by psychological and emotional factors,and have severe psychological symptoms.Timely psychological intervention to alleviate their uncertainty may improve the quality of life of these patients.
