With the development of medical and health care,doctor-patient relationship is becoming more and more complicated.Building a comprehensive system for patients'right to informed consent has become essential in fostering positive medical relations.This study analyzes the problems and reasons of the subjects exercising the right of informed consent of patients,including how to determine the correct subject to exercise this right,how to define the relationship between involved parties,how to prioritize in cases of conflict between parties,and who should hold the decision-making authority in situations where the patient is critically ill,especially when serious disagreements arise between the patient's family and the medical institution's proposed treatment plan.Therefore,the author puts forward the countermeasures to improve the framework for exercising patients'right to informed consent,and fundamentally shift patients'relatively disadvantaged position in the current healthcare environment,thereby protecting patients'interests and ensuring their rights remain intact.
