The application of artificial intelligence(AI)in personalized diabetes treatment provides a better solution to ease the tension of medical resources in China, improve the efficiency of diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, and enable comprehensive remote management.Currently, developments of diabetes self-management system, diabetes and complications intelligent prediction and early screening system, and artificial pancreas closed-loop system have significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of treatment, optimized patients'self-management ability, and promoted the innovation of medical practice. However, the development of AI in this field has also caused a range of ethical challenges, such as data privacy and security, algorithmic bias and fairness, informed consent and data usage transparency, and the responsibility gap in medical decision-making.This paper attempts to propose feasible governance strategies aimed at harmonizing technical and ethical standards to achieve the sustainable development of AI in personalized diabetes treatment.
