As spaceflight continues to develop and progress, prolonged weightlessness poses new challenges to the cardiovascular function and stable state of astronauts.Studies have shown that the vascular system of the body is highly sensitive to mechanical stress.Under weightlessness or simulated weightlessness, blood vessels undergo morphological and functional changes in response to gravity, with varying degrees of alteration of vascular endothelial cells as an essential component of blood vessels. This paper reviews recent studies on the effects of weightlessness on the structure and function of the vascular system,as well as the effects of weightlessness on the main components such as vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells.
