Schizophrenia(SZ)is a common mental illness in clinic,but its specific pathogenesis has not yet been clarified.As symptoms of patients with SZ are different,diagnosis and treatment are carried out based on clinical symptoms.Although multiple risk loci for SZ have been found,there is still a lack of objective indicators to guide clinical diagnosis and treatment of the disease.With continuous development of modern science and technology,proteomic analysis has been widely used in the field of biomedical experiments and research.The development of proteomic technologies provides a new path for SZ-associated research,and brings hope for early clinical identification and better diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Herein,the research progress of proteomics research techniques,brain tissue proteomics and humoral proteomics of SZ are reviewed,aiming to reveal the application of proteomic analysis in SZ,provide a more comprehensive proteomic basis for understanding the physiological and pathological mechanism of SZ,and provide reference for early clinical identification,stratification,better control of disease progression and improvement of the prognosis.
