Osteonecrosis of the femoral head(ONFH)is a common and frequently occurring disease in orthopedics, with an increasing incidence. The main pathogenesis is osteonecrosis due to impaired blood flow.Various treatment methods have been explored, but the outcomes are often unsatisfactory, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients.Exosomes,as vesicles secreted by cells, are abundant in a variety of bioactive components and play a crucial role in tissue repair and blood vessel formation through invasion, cell differentiation, and immune regulation.Studies have found that exosomes from different sources play a role in inhibiting osteocyte apoptosis and promoting angiogenesis. In this paper, the related studies of exosomes and ONFH are further reviewed,so as to provide reference and basis for the reversible treatment of ONFH.
