Overactive bladder(OAB)is a common bladder dysfunction mainly characterized by urinary urgency,which seriously affects patients'physical and mental health and quality of life,and brings heavy burden to family and society.Although the mechanism of urinary urgency remains unclear,it may be related to the dysfunction of detrusor,bladder sensory system,pelvic floor muscles and mental behavior.In this paper,the anatomy of the bladder sensory system,the role of related signaling pathways,receptors,ion channels and other related factors on sensory mechanisms of OAB are discussed.
